Hyaluronic acid fillers

For a long time, substances have been searched for that could help to maintain a young, beautiful appearance. When the processes responsible for skin aging were scientifically known, it was possible to create interesting preparations to prevent these processes, including hyaluronic acid. The breakthrough was the emergence of technology that was used to modify the natural acid in fill in syringes.

Characteristics of hyaluronic acid

The alienated name hyaluronic acid is actually an indication of a compound that naturally occurs in the human body. One of its basic functions will be that it is able to bind water, which is responsible for moisturizing tissues. Over the years, its amount in the skin will decrease and this reduces the level of hydration. Collagen fibres will lose elasticity and the number of fibres will decrease. As a result, the skin will have less elasticity and wrinkles will appear. It is therefore possible to fight this, if we start to introduce hyaluronic acid under the skin, which will be able to fill in the gaps and thanks to this it will be possible to work out an effect such as that of natural hyaluronic acid.

History of hyaluronic acid

Acid was extracted for the first time in 1934 by Karl Meyer and John Palmer from the vitreous body of a cow. Due to its transparent form, scientists gave it the name hyalos, which means "going well".

Hyaluronic acid

Initially, it was extracted from cock combs. The development of science made it possible to obtain hyaluronic acid with the use of modern biotechnological methods. Acid obtained by fermentation of bacteria is safe, because it will be such a compound that has the same structure as in humans.

Use of hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is used in many fields of medicine, nowadays it is defined not only as a part of aesthetic medicine, but it is also used in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gynaecology and urology.

Application in aesthetic medicine

Acid to correct wrinkles will have the form of a gel, whose molecules have tissue building blocks. The particle sizes are matched to the tissue of the skin layer. This ensures that the skin is perfectly firm, raised and smoothed. Different size of gel molecules makes it possible to choose the therapy according to the depth of wrinkles and so you will achieve a great aesthetic effect.
