Seychelles - the biggest attractions
Seychelles is a place that is often called paradise on earth. Indeed, if paradise existed, it could look like these exotic islands in the Indian Ocean. In the Seychelles there is everything that is associated with blissful rest, relaxation and detachment from overwhelming everyday life. It is 115 islands and islets, many of which are uninhabited. Perfectly white beaches covered with fine sand are washed with warm and clear ocean waters on the one hand, and shaded with huge palm trees on the other.
Just dive at the shore to admire the colourfulness of the coral reef, which is one of the most beautiful in the world in the Seychelles. Add to this the warm and mild climate, which guarantees the weather all year round, and you will get a recipe for an ideal holiday. No wonder that Seychelles are an extremely popular destination.
What are the biggest attractions of these islands? What is worth seeing while in the Seychelles?
The largest island in the Seychelles is Mahe and it is also the most popular among tourists. The capital of the Seychelles, Victoria, is located on Mahe. It is one of the smallest capitals in the world. It is worth wandering around it without any special plan, simply absorbing the atmosphere of this place and admiring the tropical, lush nature.
This is the case throughout the Seychelles. It is a place for lovers of sunbathing, rest and water sports, and not necessarily sightseeing. However, it is worth visiting the local churches or sitting in one of the numerous pubs to taste fresh juices and dishes of exotic cuisine of the region. The Tea Museum is also interesting.
Praslin is the second largest island of Seychelles. Particularly noteworthy is the Praslin National Park, which allows you to admire the tropical nature and watch the fabulously colourful birds, which are not missing here. There is also a turtle breeding ground on the island.
Silhouette is the next largest island in Seychelles. What deserves special attention here? First of all, parrots, which are the loudest and most colourful inhabitants of the island. A turtle farm is also worth a visit. This island is also of interest to those who want to live in a luxurious resort - in other parts of Seychelles small pensions and bungalows often dominate, charming, but with a completely different character.
La Digue is a tiny but very charming island. It is famous for the fact that there is no car transport here. If you want to visit the island, you can choose between a bicycle (we can rent it on site) or a cart harnessed by oxen. Thanks to this limitation, the island is silent and the air is free from pollution. A leisurely ride allows you to relax in a tropical natural environment.
Of course, the main attraction of Seychelles are the beaches. No matter which island you choose, sunbathing here will be a real delight. It's worth checking in the guides if the beach is quiet and peaceful - it's an ideal place if you're interested in relaxation in solitude. There are also beaches much larger, where you will find bars serving coconut water, fresh juices and exotic drinks. On this type of beaches there are also water sports equipment rentals, you can also use the help of an instructor. The most popular here is diving, which allows you to admire the unusual, underwater life of the ocean, especially the colorful coral reef.
